turns out i believe i have a burnt piston as suspected. i'll be pulling the motor and checking everything out. going back with a punched out 6.0. in the process of looking for pistons, rings and rods. should be a fun build

My 6.0L consumed oil (1L to every fill up eventually) with no smoke or eventually a little smoke and an engine with no ***** everything else said in this disscsion is right on the money

I had 30 psi compression in cyl #7 and it was my exhuast valve
6.0L rebuilds are expensive I know , I would take a couple hrs and check heads first, from discussion with other and after seeing the internals of mine your bottom may be in good shape

as randy stated, i was indeed hard headed and ran it kinda hard racing a L. i won, but i lost at the same time. but i'll end up with a stronger motor for the most part.

Leakdown test will tell you if it's a piston or valve. If it's the valve, you'll hear air coming out of the exhaust port. If it's a piston, you'll have air coming out of the crankcase.
