Question What HP am i looking at, at the crank with my 5.3 with the mods i have now?

2000 RCSB 2wd 5.3 with 59,000 miles.

Thunder Racing 7.4 pushrods
PAC 1218 single beehive valvesprings
Pace Setter Long tube headers
Cat delete / Hp tuner

The true dual 3" exhaust isnt installed yet with the Magnaflow race bullet mufflers.

Just curious guys.

Well a bolt on 5.3 with that cam should make around 400 crank hp maybe a little over that. If the 100 shot is rated at the wheels witch im shur the nx are then your looking at 520 to 540 on the bottle. the duel 3in exhaust is plenty but should work good on the nitrous.

I'd say 400 at the crank not spraying. Its always hard to say and comes down to different factors and how good your tune/tuner is.

As for RWHP depends on what type of dyno you go to or compare. Some dynos like the dynojet, dyno higher than others which basically means the numbers are inflated a little.

On a dynojet I'd say you prob have around 340-350 RWHP / RWTQ not spraying.

Those TR 224 cams dyno roughly the same as a TR 220 they just have a few more hp up top.

Wow, i wasnt expecting that much. Impressive to hear. What does this setup run in the 1/4 mile in perfect conditions perfect tune? Hooking up that is with 60 ft times. All of this of course is just generalizing. I unserstand you southern guys tend to run about 1 sec faster then us nothern guys.

Iv seen a few 224 cam 5.3s hit 12.8 before but that is in good da, this will all depend on were your at and what weather you run in, id say 13.6 to 12.8. And a full sec better on the 100 shot.

Up north here i would be happy with mid to low 12s with the 100 shot.

my best n/a run to date is a 13.6 @ 98 mph. 2.0 60'
there were some shifting problems on that run too. it hit the limiter on the 1-2 shift and i had to pedal it to get it to shift. also, wheatley and i have hours of logging since then as well as some caltracs, and a ported tb
i have a 3200 stall converter, but it needs a 3600 or so...
wheatley is getting me a nitrous tune this thursday and im going to the track sunday. i will report the times. oh this will be on a 100 shot as well.
