I had a Comp Thumpr Cam in my 08. Comp #54-600-11 It offered awsome power gains. Very lopey idle. If you like turning heads at stoplights you would love this cam. adds up to 80 hp! I used it in my daily driver and pulled my RV with it. However i just took it out, it needs custom computer tuning which i cant afford right now. My truck is on youtube if you want to hear it. The cam is now up for sale as i want something that requires very little computer tuning. Also download Comp's Cam quest 6. You can put in your truck and what you are looking for and it will give 5-10 matches and what is needed to run them.

Everytime someone asks for a mild cam, people start posting things that aren't mild.. I don't get it.

Anyways, look at a comp 212/218, 216/220, TR220, TSP 220, 218/218. Those are a few that come to mind, but what gear ratio are you running, and what converter?

Cool

sorry, i considered mine to be mellow! its only 219/233 but has alot of overlap which makes lope. I ran it with a handheld porgrammer and stock valvetrain. The horsepower #s came from an article in car craft magazine, could be a bunch of crap!!

anywaz, you tube video is under,

I have run the Comp 212/218 in my 2001 5.3 for the last 3 years and I still love it. I have a stock converter and 4.10 gears. It has power from about 1400 rpm all the way to my shift point at 6000 rpm.
When in park, it has a nice little lope to it, nothing radical. While in gear, it has a very smooth idle.

Mine is a 216/220 (part no in sig) and it's great all around with a small stall.
I pulled a 16ft car trailer with a truck bed on it and it would pass people on the interstate better than stock without a trailer.

search for My Runs in the multimedia and you'll see some videos I posted
