I usually use king bearings but, on my last engine that I built for me it got plain jane sealed power main and rod bearings. To date the engine has over 40k miles of size 13 abuse and the oil pressure today is just as good as when it was installed last April.

Do you plan on at least having the crank polished before putting the engine back together?

Id have it polished if your going to replace the bearings, in my local area it cost about $45. if you plan on reusing the old bearings just leave it as is then.
