where is the camshaft serial number??

Default where is the camshaft serial number??

Do I have to remove the cam shaft to get the serial number so I can get the cam specs? I bought a 6.0 an wanna know what the cam specs are on it. It has a comp cam in it

My comp cam has the numbers on the end facing the front. You could also measure this with a degree wheel and a dial indicator.

Ok so I could jus remove the timing cover an the timing chain an get the serial number?

You will have to remove the cam gear also.

If the rockers are still on just make sure the cam does not move at all and throw off the cam timing when you put the gear and chain back on. Better yet just line up the timing marks prior.

Sounds good I preciate the help! I jus wanna make sure the cam card I have goes with the cam that's in the motor
