Default is it worth to go from 5.3 to 6.0 in my case?

I just found a stock 6.0 2005 with 317 (lq9 if i am right) for 800dol
i was thinking on using the same cam i have in my 5.3 224/224 112 for the 6.0

so i would use same transmission, converter and everything just a 6.0, how do u guys think would that combo work? how many hp could i gain with it?

i have been searching around and as i understand its a direct plug and play other the changing the cam and re tune

im looking for more a little more hp N/A

all my mods are down there

thank you for your answers :nunchuk1:

if your sure the engine is in good shape i would do it without a doubt. swap that cam and retune and your good to go. look for some ported 243 heads to go with it

6.0 is always with it! I've swapped three 5.3's for 6.0's, its been well worth every swap!

Your converter will flash a little higher with more torque from that 6.0... also, your cam will be a lot more torques with the bigger cubes

I think so, i believe after re-tuning the increased torque will allow the converter to stay locked cruising around and you will be able to keep your foot outta the pedal more when accelerating up to speed....maybe

Your fuel pump will handle it stock injectors proally won't but if you looking to upgrade walbro 255 would do fine and some flex fuel or 8.1 injectors should be a cheap upgrade that works
