If you have the darts use them they flow great out of the box. And as far as lower end goes a stall will make up for that. Just make sure what ever cam you go with you use a stall speed to work with the cam. I think there are some guys running towing converter to race with. I think there stronger just use the search. I think txsilverado and ap2002 is running one.

I've set up 6.0L's with that much cam with stock heads and stock converter. There is a big improvement over stock from about 1600rpm and up. Going with the Dart heads will help that even more from the compression gain as well as some flow. A good example is a friend that has a 1500HD with the same cam I'm running in his LQ4. His truck has the 4L80E and 3.73 gear. Many times a year he'll overload it with 10,000+lb trailers. His family owns a blueberry farm. His truck tows considerably better than stock and gets better milage than his dad's truck which is the same year, model, engine, gear, etc. Thanks to today's tuning abilities the bigger cams are very drivable for almost every application.

Not bad at all. His idles smoother being a 6.0L, but mine isn't that bad even being a 5.3L. I've done alot of cruising including hours of stop and idle forward traffic such as the Woodward Dream Cruise. It's not the ideal cam for something such as a construction vehicle that may idle for hours. My friends 6.0L sometimes idles for 30 minutes to an hour on the farm without any problems. Idle timing and rpm settings are extremly important though.

Another good choice would be the Trick Flow 216/220 .560/.560 on a 114LSA. That is a low enough lift for the LS6 spring. The 114 LSA with that low of duration should idle just fine at 700rpm or less. I put one of those in an SSS last weekend. It has a very mild lope at idle and good torque right off idle.
