95 Lightning?

I loved my gen 1 when I had it, nothing compared to my gen 2
they come stock with the 5.8 and 4.10 gears, so be prepared to fill up both tanks, here in TX it would cost about $75-$80 to fill up both tanks.
most people put shift kit, pullies, headers, a nice cam, and a vortech s-trim blower on the Gen 1's
they aren't like the Gen 2's to where you can do an upper and lower pulley swap to get more power
I loved my gen 1, it towed my boat and Gen 2 around with no problems, I'm sure you will love it too

Theres also a new turbo kit out for it, from Pickeral Performance over on nloc. oh and don't bother with the chip, on a mostly stock truck they are pretty much worthless. They are verry fun trucks I garantee you will have a blast with it.

If you keep the air filter box, then get a diesel intake tube. That will get rid of the restrictive air intake that goes above the radiator support. That's pretty much all the easy stuff.

i got a 93 gen 1, if i was you i would start off with pullies, shorty headers or longtubes if you want to spend the money, and electric fans (these things come alive when they run cool), intake and maybe a 75 shot of nitrous that will get you in the 8s in the 1/8. my 93 ran a best of 9.5 in the 1/8 at like 72 spinning and hopping off the line and that was basically stock!
