you can get 99-00 for that price pretty easily, 02s normally go for 21+ though ! you got a good deal.

The lightning and the 03-04 cobra are two fords i would be proud to drive.

The new ones are FAST, I went heads up w/the SRT 10(Viper truck) with mine. I beat him on two runs ( he had **** for traction) but he beat me from a 50 mph roll.Do yourself a favor and run some good synthetic oil, it'll be worth it in the long run. Congrats and Enjoy!!

Provides better grip for the smaller blower pulley and spins it faster

Johnny Lightning ran 13.2 directly off the showroom floor - I want to say it was his 02.....even saw someone post a 13.1 over on the boards last year......but yes, I think 90% of people will only run a 13.5+ stock, I only ran a 13.4 with a chip and filter on my 01, but it was my first time to the track EVER

you must be ready for no room in the cab, crap ergonomics (like no real center consol and **** cup holders), harsh ride quality (factory bilistein shocks), and cab noise (big *** tires and overal cheap build).
Are you talking about a Lightning? My 01 felt like it had twice as much space in the cab as my Sierra, great ride with the Bilsteins, not near as much cab noise, and pretty much great build quality.....I know you dont have a RCSB GMC/Chevy but honestly it sounds like you've never ridden in one......and yes I'm sort of talking crap about my own truck here (Sierra) but when I read that I was really suprized lol - although none of that bothers me in my Sierra, I enjoy it alot more than my Lightning, knowing its "built, not bought"

And about the pullies thing.....I know you guys are joking around but if this kid really does take your advise and goes and puts a 10lb lower pulley on - 18psi will blow up that motor the first time he lays into it. Not sure what year it is, but BEWARE of the weak rods in 01-02, I speak from experience.

I had a 01 Lightning, and I was disagreeing with you about pretty much everything you said about the harsh ride, interior room etc, compared to my Sierra. The Lightning had more room in the cab, better ride, build quality etc etc....

And I agree with you that youre buying the total performance truck package. Although some people (me) would rather build up a GM truck to look and perform as well or better.

Hopefully that cleared it up.
