Differences between 360HP and 380HP trucks
Hi everyone. Can you tell me the differences between the 360HP and 380HP trucks? What changes were made to add the 20HP? I know the wheels are different, but what else?
TIA

I think that the intercooler was redesigned more for leakin than power, the intake was also redone to make the power. I know in 03 they put more spark plug threads in the heads , other than that maybe the tune is a lil more aggressive

The tune is slightly more aggressive. The lower intake and intercooler were both redesigned for better flow rates. 90mm MAF, 3.73's on the 01+ vs 3.55's for 99/00, Aluminum D/S (01+) vs Steel, and some cosmetic stuff. The earlier trucks can easily make just as much power with very little work.

I had a 99 at one time. When it was stock I out run 2 '03 L's and one 01, and(all of them stock) after I started modding it I also out run a 02 and a 03 that had about the same mods I did.
It also ran about the same times as what my 03 I have now ran when it was stock, so I dont know what the deal is with HP/torque rating being less on the 99&00 L's, but with my experince with the 2, the 99's are capable of the same times the newer ones are.

Thanks guys. I am looking into a tow/haul vehicle that is quick and was looking at the Ls and was seeing if it would be more beneficial to look into one year or another.
