a buyer shouldnt buy anything of that value without insuring it, and a seller should not ship anything of that value without insuring it.

me personally, i haven't auction anything of that value, but i have ebayed several items over $1,000 and with those, as with my less expensive auctions, insurance is an option for the buyer, it cost money, so it's up to the buyer to request and approve the fee. i don't add it just to add it. And I do everything through email, this way no confusion if a problem arises, documentation available

lol - this is my 800 post! woo hoo, man i need to get out more lol

Yeah, I wouldn't even give the option with something like this to ship it uninsured. I'd just say it is gonna cost this much to insure it and that's that. I also like to do things through emails/PMs so that everything is documented. I also take tons of pictures of the individual pieces/box and of them packed also. I have old archived emails from WAY back.

well i'll add some info, just from what i know.

box showed up, big hole in box, did you ?
first report this to the driver?
did the driver ask you to make sure everything was their?
was the hole open, or was it taped up with fedex tape?
the fedex delevery sticker does state the box weight,
was the box taken back to be weighed?
if so what was the difference between sticker weight and delivery weight?
were you asked by fedex what was in the box and what was missing?

now in my past experience, reciving packages from jegs and summit,
that was just about open, i have been asked by fedex and ups drivers,
is everything their?
open it and make sure, if any thing is missing we can start a report
now.

now hatting to stick my nose in to this.
i have to say something smells like fish.
if the box weighed 250 lbs when shipped,
i am pretty sure missing 2 turbos is going to
take atleast half of the weight away when delivered.
that would launch a red flag with fedex.

Exactly, I ship everything with insurance. It costs like what, 2-3 bucks? You're silly not to do it.

Shouln't someone at fedex have noticed two turbos laying on the floor and reported it to somebody. where do the Lost Items go???? at work we had ups lose a 100lb hydraulic cylinder . there are people in the fed ex/ups buildings almost 24hrs a day shouldn't someone notice lost/misplaced items, set them aside knowing a claim is coming. if not, they must throw away some pretty incredible stuff....
