Yeah i just found that out today lol, got the motor and tranny in just mocking everything up to go get the back half done then the turbo kit.... u live up north where its cooler than louisiana so ac isnt that important to ya lol did u make your own crossmember?
I don't have AC. I do know the AC compressor on the engine won't fit between the frame rails. I have seen others mount the AC compressor up higher to clear the frame.
man i am so illiterate with my way around this site haha..... i just found that u replied on here! i just sold my 383 w/ 4L60 trans to start on the TURBO 408 LS2, dude im siked, im also considering going w/ F.A.S.T fuel injection but i duno yet.....yah i really did get a hook up huh? hey are u running air conditioning and how hard was it to hook up if ya did?
The oil pan I used was the stock oil pan that came with my motor. I believe the motor came from a 2002 3/4 ton chevy truck. It fits fine between the frame rails.
The wiring harness I used was from the same junkyard 2002 chevy truck. I sent the complete harness to Wait for Me Performance. Just google it and you will find it. They removed the stuff I didn't need... Such as ABS, airbags, the 2nd set of O2 sensors, the EGR valve wiring, etc. They also reprogrammed my computer to remove the anti theft stuff. They did a great job. All wires that needed to be hooked up were labeled. Hope this helps.
Let me know how the project is coming. Any questions, I'm happy to help.
another question haha.... did u say you sent your harness off to get all the stuff out of it that wasent needed? if so who did u send it to and what did they do?
