Default 1995 s10 5.3 conversion

I have a 1995 s10 with a 350 tbi 5sp and I am going to put a 98 ext cab 3rd door on my frame and change it over to run a 5.3 auto. I am told that the wiring on the 98 cab will work with the 5.3 engine and trans.
I want to put a console shifter and I am not sure how to wire it in so that it all works.
Any help will be welcomed.
Thank you.

Not to be a dick man, but if you are asking questions like this you arent ready for a swap. The 98 harness will not work with the 5.3 and the console shifter should be the least of ur worries. There is a lot of info on here use the search and try and figure it all out! Good luck man!

The reason I ask is because there are so many people saying many different things. I put a v8 in my 95 and while doing so I found out I bought a truck that they only made the computer system for three years.
Now I am tearing down and starting over. Its no fun having a truck that wont go over 85 no matter what gear your in.
You have no idea all the b.s. I have gone through with the truck the way it is.
I just want to cross all my t's and dot my i's before I start this project.

The reason I ask about the electronics on the console is that I have a 2000 s10 v6 auto and I want to put a console sift in it. I just want to find out what do to with the shift lock on the shifter.
Thanks for the tip on my 95.

I have the cab corners welded in and I'm going to start on replacing the rocker panels this weekend. I am alot farther on my change out than I thought. I want to take my truck to the drag strip berfore I pull my 350 5sp and see what kind of numbers I get this year.

Just break it. All it needs is a ground and a signal from the brake light switch, but it's alot easier to ditch it.

I put the console in weeks ago and all went well. I found a wire comming from the break light the had power when I had my foot on the pedal.
Thanks for the tip.
