Default 2000 5.3 help

I just picked up my 5.3 and 4l60e trans today for my 1995 s10. I had to unbolt the trans and while turning the fly to unbolt the torque convetor and the motor turned very easy. Once I had the motor free I could turn the fly wheel by hand. Is this normal?
I paid 1500 for the motor, trans, s&p headers Speartch stand alone harness, speartech reprogrammed computer, and a couple boxes of misc fittings. All the parts are brand new with receipts never wiried up or bolted on.

Anybody looking for a Speartech stand alone harness?

Yes all the plugs are in it, there is oil in the pan, and the motor is suppose to have 50,000 miles on it.

Wow man... That doesn't sound good. rig up the starter and do a compression test on the engine stand.

How does the valvetrain look? Could have a bunch of bent valves or all the valve seals are shot and are leaking compression. Or the rings are toast.

It'd only be 1 or 2 pistons if it was nitrous. He would still have compression in the other 6-7 cylinders. If it was nitrous, I'd think the rings are what would be gone, which would explain why none of the cylinders have compression.

I will do one over the weekend if not sooner depending on work. I was told that the motor sat for about four years untouched still bolted to the trans.
