In some of the muscle cars people use camaro or corvette gear. You can not mix and match, but rather ask the pulley companies they have many different types out now.

You could probably switch to car accessories?

I know I'm a little late, but in case someone else stumbles across this in a search:

The earlier model trucks 99-04ish had a smaller diameter alternator than the later models and will most likely clear(depending on your mount setup). I have an alternator from a 96 chevy p/u on my 5.3 in my jimmy now because it was 50 bucks cheaper than the 99 model unit. The older type bolts in with no modification it just puts the plug in an awkward spot, and you have to plug it in before bolting it down.

The F-body car accessories will not work because the alternator hits the powersteering box. The corvette pieces fit nicely but are hella pricey to get the whole setup.
