Default lq4 4l60e

Anyone know if i can use my stock 4l60e from my blazer and bolt it to my 02 lq4??? do i need a diff flex plate? or a special trq converter? Cant seem to find any info

What year motor, blazer, and trans? Also if you get an after market converter they can cut it for your needs.

its a 2002 blazer xtreme 2wd 4.3... the lq4 is out of a 02 2500

if you have the flat flex plate on there you will need to elongate the tc bolt holes and it will bolt up fine. I run the same set up.

what do you mean by elongate? is there space between the tc and flex plate?

I think the S10/Blazer 4L60E's have less friction plates internally, which means they can handle less power.

They can be built up like any other 4L60E when you inevitably do kill it (might be 6 months or a few years, but it will happen).

I'm just saying this because my stock LQ4 killed 2 stock 4L80E's in it's lifetime and one 14Bolt FF, so it can easily happen to you.

haha it wont last long! i was thinking bout doing a rebuild/shift kit.... or just beat it till it dies and then get a built one

Go ahead and beat it till it dies. I wouldn't waste the time and money with rebuilding it as I did with my factory 4l60e...it didn't last long behind a mild 5.3.
