JL audio has a sub that the mounting depth is 2.5 inches and only needs 0.80 cu.ft of air space http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...hp?page_id=245

Yeah that's the one's i heard about. Anyone ever hear how these sound?

I'm sure if its JL it will sound pretty good, they make quality stuff. I've heard JL equipment side by side with other brands and they just sound better (even in the same box) unless you spend big bucks and get into the really high end stuff, JL is about the best for the money for sure.

i had that box in my x cab for a while sounded good then i blew the mtx sub and put a kicker in there

Just got the head unit and speakers in. Pioneer DEH-P8MP, Infinity 4.5 two ways up front and JBL components in the doors. Just need the sub and amp and i'll be done with what i'm gonna do.
