C4 Corvette radiator if you're going used. New, just go to Ebay for a dual core aluminum around $260 shipped.

Have done 5x 5.3l S10 swaps, and I used 4.3l radiator in all but one. They work fine as long as they are not clogged up from old coolant.

My Current DD is a 2003 ext. cab with a 5.3l and a 224 cam with the stock radiator that was in the truck.

My friend Chad has one in his 2003 S10 blazer and he has put over 18k mi on his 5.3l swap.

most on s10fourm, just use a HD 4.3 rad. there is a sonoms runing around here that has a built/cammed 6.0l in it running a HD 4.3 rad with chrysler e-fans. he has no problems cooling in the 100 degree temps in the summer

I tow with my 5.3 and use air conditioning and have a torque cam. I went to Superior Radiator and waited and waited, but got more cooling than the 4.3 radiator has. I needed it.

I'm running a Current Performance Wiring radiator in mine. Fits perfect and has nice fans installed but they're pricey compared to a C4 or HD 4.3 production radiator.

Worth the money though IMO.

I put a 28" radiator out of my silverado in my S10. Had to trim some edges and stuff, but it fit. Got to find some Efans now.

CODE4LS1, whats up man!

I've got a new 4.3 HD rad in my 4.8 setup but I havent taken it down the road yet so I cant comment on cooling but I learned there are two questions that go hand in hand with what rad someone is using.

1. Does the tranny fluid run through it or do they use a remote trans cooler.
2. What fans are they running.

My rad isn't recessed and i've got truck accessories so i've only got 3.5" between rad and motor so I will be running slim fans plus A/C so to be safe i'm gonna run a separate trans cooler with fan under the bed.
