'07 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE vs Full Bolt-On '05 Chevy 5.3 RCSB
1st run was from 60-110mph with both of us pretty much side by side and the 2nd was the same from 65-125mph till BLUESTREAK05 shut down so I could give him space from a 3-2 lane merge. The Altima's 6-speed CVT auto trans really helped the car stay in its power band. I'm able to start in 4th gear and bring the RPM's up pretty high where it makes power. ENJOY !!!

Here's a little background on the truck and the car as well.
'05 Chevy 5.3
Long Tubes
2.5" X-pipe dumped before axle w/ no mufflers
K&N CAI
Custom tuning by Tiburon
Dropped a few inches(as if it matters )
14.2@97 2.1 60ft somewhat traction limited IIRC

'07 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE 6-speed CVT Auto
Bone stock with a radar
15.3@92 2.4 60ft (bogs real bad off the line)

I test drove the '08 2.5 Coupe and boy did that thing haul ***. If it was me, I'd get the 3.5L Coupe with a 6-Speed manual for the ultimate fun factor. But oh well, guess the G/F was pretty happy with the auto/3.5L combo.

Most 3.5L Altimas are going mid 14's depending on track conditions, weather, etc... But that's about right for a 3400lbs sedan with 270hp and an auto. Most stock LT1's run about the same times and trap in the mid to high 90's. The only thing that works against the Altima at the track is the FWD which suffers from the rearward weight transfer during the launch. its 1/4 mile times arent reflective of its HP, but its a lot different once the car is rolling though.
1.The truck has more power but suffers from its weight.
2. Car lacks power but has the advantage of less weight.
This makes for a pretty even match, and a damn good race !!!

Dude that video makes me wanna smack my truck with a 10 pound hammer. I missed 1st place at the strip last month because a damn v-6 toyota 4runner was 1 !/2 tenths quicker than me in the 1/8 mile...and it was friggin stock. Im thinking my baby might have to go on the bottle. being smoked by a soccer mom suv, is really getting under my skin.
