Well, most, if not all of the guys saying they would rather have an 80e, ACTUALLY have an 80e with past experience of breaking their 60s......guys repping the 60 dont even have an 80e, just one sided experience.

Congrats to the Camaro for a nice pass tho.

No way id run a 60E in a truck. Heck i went a couple years on a stock 6.0 in my truck with the 80E and loved it.
I have about 950 in my 80e swap for yoke etc vs my lvl 7 flt ill nvr make that mistake again either.

Yea no more 60e here ever again I even have my dad getting 2 cor his and my mom trucks for when the 60s go out lol

and i understand that. like i said, its proven that the 80e out performs the 60e. if i could start over, id would of went with the 80e from the beginning..im just speaking for the guys that write a thread saying, "i have cold air intake and exhaust, now i want my 60e to shift better and quicker", then you get the guys saying " just swap in a 80e"..that would be unnecessary with basic bolt on's. a good answer for those guys would be add a corvette servo and shift kit.

Thats great they have that they do great work no doubt

...but a 60 is going to be a 60 period no matter who built them or what level they are, just space saver for an 80 :IMO:

Bang for the buck and dependability 80 is way to go hands down and I don't have a 80 btw

That is IMPRESSIVE to say the least! I love 60e's until you go forced induction, N2O or start revving an engine upto 7k, then ditch it! My brother has been through 3 built 60e's and now that he's on his first 80e, he's had no issues so far! We've had both tranny's apart and trust me, if you guys could all see the difference, you'd understand LOL.

Wonder what kinda warranty they offer for trucks.

My 500 wheel goal is coming and if I can get a shop to stand behind a built 60. I'd do it for ~3 grand.

Waiting for a shop to have a full swap kit for an 80.

4x4 60 to 80 SWAP - something that has the right transmission shafts, drive shafts, sensors, convertor... It makes us 4wd guys stick w the 60s just because it's a direct swap

if im not mistaking, when i bought my stage 5, they said as long as i own the transmission and ever need it gone through, the rebuilds will cost $600. and thats for stage 5 specs. if it ends up needing any hard parts, those would be extra. out the door its a 90 day warrenty.

and when they build a truck trans. its a actually truck trans. it wont be a trans from a car platform. cars i guess have 3 gear planetarys and trucks have 4. id give them a call. they make all kinds of trans swap kits. anything from a 4l80e swap into a dodge viper to a powerglide in a new vette. im sure they have something for the trucks. if you got to there website it list there transmission they built for the trucks and what all is done to them.
