Default 20-90 run

figured i would post up a quick 20-90mph run from today and let ya'll check it out. not nearly as quick as some of the ones i've seen on here. i'm runnin 3.42s so a stall and gears would probably help it some. you may have to turn up the volume a little.

Nice run.

BTW, at what rpms are you shifting.... looked kind of low (~5700rpm) for a cammed 5.3.

thanks guys. i'll prolly do the transgo kit when i do the verter.

yeah it shifts right at 5700. i was thinking a good rpm with this cam would be around 5900, but when i put it on the dyno 5800 or so it nosed over. its not valve float, so i'm a thinkin time for some heads.

What are the specs on that cam? My 222/224 that was in my 5.3 pulled hard till 6600 and probably could have gone higher but it had a 165,000 miles now its dead and a 408 is going in its place.

272/280 210/218 .551/.551 112LSA +5*

the short intake duration plus the 5* advance slams the intake valve shut pretty early in the game maxxing cylinder pressure, prolly somewhere around 2800rpm (just guessing), which makes it kind a torquey i think. gamedawx53 has got the same cam, he could prolly fill you in as well. i have been battling an intermittent KR during PT driving that is wearing on my last nerve. its not huge amount, only 1-2* very sporadic and only during lower rpm with a mid-load on her...blah, blah, blah, so i have been seriously considering a change so that i can lower the cylinder pressures a bit down low.

it exits pass side (dual 2-1/2") in front of rear wheel. makes it a little unpleasant for the rider sometimes when the window is down
