It feels a lot more responsive, and even around town the 4 bbl feels good since it only opens at 2/3 throttle. The heads are about to be in the works and before its all said and done, I'm looking to get it in the mid-low 11's with new slicks and good conditions.

Wow. Most of us need a lot of boost to come even close to that. Nice.

Thanks!
This intake really woke up the 408 and sacrificed no low end power at all, it's an absolute blast to drive around now! The further it winds up, the faster and harder it pulls. On that run it actually squaltted the truck pretty good, even from 75+ mph pull. I'm gonna uprade the diff with a girdled cover and put in some super u-joints then it's off to the track for some real deal videos!

At the track it'll be running with a short belt, open cutouts, no passenger seat and spare... should be a lot lighter and even more fun

Well it was running good....

Briles (hauler) and I just took it out to get some super bowl goods and the e-fans quit while we were talking to some folks and it overheated and popped a head gasket so we're putting some milled aluminum 6.0L heads on it pronto. Checked the oil and theres some coolant there, so we'll probably drain it this afternoon.

The parts ordering has already begun, hopefully we'll have it back up in a week or so if the machine shop can turn the heads out quickly.

There goes the tax refund
