964 RWHP TT C6 Zo6 I tuned today
My old boss called me up and said he had a guy from town who is WEALTHY, and ask me to come up there to pick my brain a bit and help him tune this. The car is a TT put on by Katech, it also has a built ls7 from Katech. Actually it was all done by Katech. Any how a few months ago when the guy got it back it ran like crap in 1-2-3 gears, blew out a bunch of smoke. got it on the dyno and it was running -2 degrees timing at wot and way rich made only 5-600 hp then, my boss got it up to 7-800 then just on 10-11 psi. and we found out why it was running richer in the lower gears because they put on a boost controller that ran less boost in lower gears and didnt work right because of the maf/pe. so he sets it up for a 2 bar map sensor/olsd and at 4000 rpm/176kpa it keeps on going back into cl and leaning out to 14.63. after bout an hour and a half we get it back to level out in the mid 11s. makin 964 hp on a mustang dyno and the tq was 8xx..heres some pics of it and ill get some vids loaded tomorrow. any how over all im not impressed with the work done by Katech. The rear fenders are carbon fiber and didnt look to be sanded smooth as you can see ripples in it, plus there are 2 runs in the paint

thanks danny. Yes the price tag at Katech was $170k not including the car. tires, wheels, suspension, interior, exterior, motor, tt kit, and tuning which was crappy. and i dunno what else was done

I didn't know he got that one.
Does it sound as good as the black one?
And Great job on gettin him figured out. It's easy to not be so nervous when the owner of the car is a regular and an enthusiast that understands the risks involved with doing what they do. I'm sure if it blew up he'd want to know how much power it had when it went and then be back in a few weeks to try again.
I bet that thing is a cure for constipation.
