Did the retard in the lightning think he is John Force? What a tard. I would have edited out the fact that you blew past the staging area.

Truck sure does pull like a mother on the top end.

Is it a stock stall? Maybe a stall is your issue more then gearing?

there's nothing wrong with a stock stall...it doesnt look like his 60' suffered from it.

With how it pulls in the in the upper rpms. A stall will drop .5 off most any vehical. I wouldn't be suprised if a nice stall dropped .7 if you can keep the tires under it.

i understand the point of the "stall" the thing is if he is already hitting 5th gear now there is no point in getting a converter for his set up because 5th gear is an OD for us. yes it pulls some, but not like 4th gear would. id look into swapping the rearend with someone imo then grab a converter.

aren't you still running the small LTs?

I believe he is looking into taller tires therfore that will help his gearing issue.
If not then gears and converter and that truck will be in the 11s.

He needs both, gear it so its at the peek hp in third at the trap and put a 3000-3200 stall in an you will pick up .5 ease.

3rd is a good gear, but 1st and 2nd are short already and top it off with a short tire and short gear. the truck is insane, looks great running down the track at that i would like to see how it does with a 3000-3200 also with the gear it has now on the 28" tires. if it shifts into 5th 10-20' before the 1/4 i dont see it hurting him that much. the fact of going to a 30" slick eh i dont think it'd help a ton for the price. who knows, his truck may LOVE the taller tire

whats the future plans?
