Thanks for sharing the video's with us. I will be honest that I never thought about having deaf members on the site. Kind of a reality check for me. I think it's great to have you guys here! Very cool to see how you guys communicate with the TV. Thank you for sharing. Vince

Ha. Mostly people think it was like as webcam. Yes it is almost. But acutally it is phone like hearing people use telephone to voice. Which we cant hear. We do have telephone with TTY Keyboard. But we almost never use TTY. Since we got videophone from (sorenson VRS). The picture- http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...4Luke/2809.jpg
But you could have webcam make from ip-address number which can call through to my videophone! Also I have other mini videophone for travel it call OJO Snapvrs. It could plug in hotel and able to call anywhere. ALso hearing can use it. there is have a voice speak to relay and they will sign to me. Easy to communicate. You know it will have to be highspeed for videophone. If not have high speed. Then it will not work on videophone cause it will very slow and frozen which we cant see eachother on screen.

I had a teacher in school who's wife taught sign language. She had no impairments, but she came in and taught us alot about the deaf/mute lifestyle differences. Between that and a deaf/mute church coming to visit our church, I have grown alot of respect for people with these particular impairments. Overcome things in a very awesome way.

My right ears rings constantly very loudly, so silence drives me complete insane. I could not imagine never hearing anything.

Few years ago, I had a mute guy come into the store I was workign at. I was the only person willing to help him. After that, he frequently would come see me for help. I can read sign, but I am willing and patient to try to figure out what needs to be done, or read a hand written note.

My failure is forgetting that yelling back at a mute person does me no good if they hear well. Made myself feel like a complete doof on more then one occasion. Just like yealling at a spanish doesnt help them understand english, so many people do that around here.

Many props on the cute girlfriend!

Yeah it is awesome. It seem you know alot about deafs. Yeah most hearing ppl not mean to yell back to deaf people. To get attention. They just habit to yell to hearing people. I totally understood. I used work 18 wheels truck mechanic and installer GPS on (Southern Cal Transportion) company in Alabama. ALL workers are very nice to me. They learn sign language from me. We had good communicate with no problem. We easy get along eachother. What part TENN do you live? My bestfriend Adam is deaf he moved from here to Tenn Konxville.
