it depends on the weight and power of the vehicle. My 3C was quoted to be around a 3600 in an fbody, but with the added weight of being a truck (an ext cab at that), it pushed the stall speed up to close to 4000. Thats why I usually say its between 3800-4000.

In a RCSB with a 4.8 you would need a 4C to be about the same as mine is in my truck, but a RCSB 5.3 with a 3C would probably be similar.

that's confusing as hell.

Based on your experience, what stall speed would you recommend for me, knowing that I dont want to be revving to the moon just to daily drive normally. I was thinking of the 10.125" with 3500 stall speed since everyone always seems to regret going to low..

going just off stall speed is definately not the way to go IMO. Davids yank 3500 feels as loose or looser than mine behind his 6.0 in a RCSB.

Every companies converters are set up different, and will respond different to your setup. The stall speeds they are listed as are relative to what they're going in to. I'm sure you already knew that, but it one of those things where you really just need to drive a few trucks with different setups and converters before you spend close to $1000 on this mod.

My converter is loose with alot of pedal, but is relatively tight with light throttle. Sometimes I like the way it feels, and sometimes I hate it.

Whatever you pick, you'll have a love/hate relationship with it, I promise.

you should get a yank 3200. i had this converter and it shaved over 8 tenths off my 1/8 alone and it was really good driving around town(almost stock like)

If I go with anything over the stock TC it will be a Circle D. Ive seen too many problems with Yank converters (did you ever get your noise fixed btw)?
