Finally tuned the truck.....

what kind of dyno did he have? how in the hell did it make 372 when it had just made 489 on another dyno a couple of weeks ago? i know not all dynos read the same, but there is no accounting for well over 100 WHP loss by changing dynos.

I was on a 7 psi spring at the local dyno day! The dyno was a DynoJet above ground. As I have told you before, anything over 145 kpa or 7psi of boost it would pull all the timing and run 10.0 afr. The 372 pass was 10 psi ZERO timing and rich for safety on the original Mail Order tune. He made a shake down just to have a look on his equipment. The next pull he changed the boost timing table and leaned it up just a hair and it made 452 but only 5 deg of timing...... We worked from there and added timing while leaving my afr at 11.2 ish for safety.......Its most successful pull was 16.5 deg of timing at 11.5 afr and made those numbers after 30 minutes of cooling in 43 deg weather and the DA was -1200 which is great!
I know dynos are all different, they can make them say what they want so the number is not that important, you can calculate hp by weight and trap speed just like you said a few weeks ago. The curve looks good and there was no knock and we hot lapped it a few times just to check for KR when the IAT's got up, it was successful. I will take the truck back when it warms up for him to fix the timing and fuel as the weather changes so the tune will be finished!
So far I am happy, I will drive it around today and see how she does!

Look at the actual gains that were had.
1st pull was 372 and with adjustments the final result was 513
That 141 hp gain is what you should look at
