Everyone here knows it's quicker on the jump, nobody is disagreeing on that. The reason why so many people are against it is because of how bad it is on your transmission. Flooring it while manually shifting gears is horrible on an automatic transmission without a manual valvebody. Tons of kids blow up their trannys all the time doing this same thing.
If you wanna blow up your tranny for the sake of street racing, more power to you, but most smart people who are gonna race usually tell the other person to leave it in D as well so there is no advantage there.

LBB, if you would have stayed with the Wheatley as your tuner he could have setup your Tow/Haul setting to do exactly what you are doing manually shifting it... Just ask Scott or Luke. basically when you press in the tow/haul button it puts you in the gear for that MPH. For example your cruising at 45mph, pressing the tow/haul button automatically puts you into 2nd and holds it until the shift point. or your cruising at 20mph, it puts you in 1st and keeps it there until you reach the shift point. So those settings are awesome for street racing, no kick downs needed... But you choose a different tuner...

Just a suggestion..When I was tuned by wheatley I had the tow/haul race tuned in and it was awesome, it would hold out first forever. Have you thought about having something like that done on your truck? I know M3SRT should have this done, I thought that's what he was doing in his videos? It sounds like he's maunally shifting too from his previous statement. IDK who your tuned by, but talk to them about it.
