Default top speed try (warning - not impressive lol)

man, after watching all the videos you all have put up recently I feel pretty bad about my truck! Guess it's better than the stock 4.8 though. According to an online calculator i found, 5000rpm in 3rd with 3.42s and 31.5" is about 137mph. Second half of the vid was up a pretty good hill too so that took some steam off. Front end felt like it was up in the air, scary **** for me at least. I had an nice long straight up ahead but no ***** to stay in it. I think it could have pulled well into the 140s. I need a cam bad. Stock cam makes no power

pulled pretty good up to 3rd gear... you need a cam and gears and it will be a ton faster.

My driver's head back hole has a bolt in it. I'm looking at the L92 heads and intake. Is the tr224 still a good cam with those heads? I was also looking at adding 4.10 gears

I want to see someone test the mph calculator.
Do a run like zzebes just did. Logging speed with GPS and note the RPM. Then compare that rpm and speed to the speed suggested by the MPH calculator.

For accuracy.

I'm also having a hard time believing it's accurate, but then again I checked it against my 2nd gear speeds where my speedo is still reading (less than 100mph) and it was pretty much dead on with my speedo.

Cool. I figured drag would come into play at some point. But I guess that would really only affect acceleration.
