you guys are STILL missing a lot of the point though. The Raptor is a stock assembly line built vehicle that anyone can go down, and drive away in.... not a purpose built race truck that cost$$$$$$$$ to build and only a handful of people would want to own.

and the comparison between the Raptor and Z71.... seriously??? you must drink your own bath water in HUGE quantity...

I saw a nice black crew cab Raptor this morning on the freeway. I see a few a day now, they are everywhere.

This post was in no way to bash the Raptor. They are very capable trucks off the show room floor that no other manufacturer has anything to currently compete against them. This post was to show how great they look and perform once 250k+ is dumped into them.

yeah i remember in the early 2000 when the avalanches came out one of the commercials theyre running through the dessert with one an jump it off a 5ft ledge and when it hits the truck curls up like a skate board, i was thinking oh dear theyre marketing this truck to run around through rough lands like this.... there is going to but a lot of unhappy people trying to make warranty claims. Ford did screw up thinking there standard truck frame would hold up to the abuse of a trail at high speeds. but there is always truck guys like us that push our engines and transmissions to the limits both on an off road and we tear stuff up and like to blame the manufacturer they it wasnt built strong enough for our needs (4l60*). but even with these problems ford will still sell a lot of them people will continue to tear them up and aftermarket companies will continue to improve on a product ford designed and bean counters cut back to save production cost.

The raptor is the only ford in a reasonable price range that i would trade my SS for. They look sick!
