Spray does that to people! When someone is scared of nitrous they get super butt hurt to hear of people's success with it.

I can fill my bottle 500 times for what it will cost to buy a turbo or blower, and its only hard on my drive train when I want it to be...

Spray first! Ask questions later..

I always heard that the main cause was from pooling in the intake from poor nozzle placement etc.

with a spot on tune, nitrous is just as safe as gasoline. just dont push your rings too hard. in this case, it looks to me like user error. never spray below 3k RPM. sounds like he nailed it out of the hole on a stock converter.

more likely too low of a rpm causing the fuel to puddle than poor placement. buy a window switch and activate at 3,000rpm where the engine is pulling enough air that the fuel cannot puddle.

and for those thinking that nitrous is causing the explosion...nitrous is not flammable.

My green painted diamond plate floor was rated for 15,000 HP or one 200 pd guy or two 100 pd chicks, that failed and so did my manifold....so I had to sell that car and buy a top secret ultra mega super maximum platinum overdrive nine speed evo.
