Yes sy733, Im located in Houston. I wish I had that truck in my sig!! It's a GM concept truck introduced in 2000.I just have it in my sig because its my all-time dream truck. Also, not to many people know about it. Thats a real clean Cyclone!!! What kind of upgrades have you done to it?

Patron,

I've completely rebuilt the truck in the picture from the ground up...It was a real mess when I saved it...I've never really typed out a complete list of the mods but I'll give it a shot...

-completely removed the body from the chassis for repaint and frame cleanup
-1995 4.3 marine block
-four bolt splayed diamond racing billet caps
-eagle h-beam rods
-srp pistons @ .030 8.35:1 compression
-1996+ vortec head conversion-unported (modded syclone lower intake and redrilled heads)
-one piece chromoly pushrods, isky adj. guideplates, comp magnum rockers
-cometic head gaskets
-comp 412 cam (roller hydraulic)
-stock syty cast iron exhaust manifolds
-PTE Stealth 70 turbo (68 mm wheel)
-75lb per hour injectors
-stock ecm with injector driver upgrade (to support low impedance inj.)
-Xtronics pocket romulator (emulator for realtime tuning and engine management)
-RT Tunercat tuning software
-plx 300 wideband o2 setup
-msd digital 6 plus ignition box
-stock coil
-taylor spiro pro wires
-budget custom frontmount intercooler (my homemade piping, ebay core)
-13 gallon s10 tank (from a 4cyl truck) sumped, aeromotive a1000 external fuel pump.
-kenne bell adj. fpr
-custom relocated oil filter housing and engine oil cooler
-battery relocated to driver's side
-3000 stall 911 torque converter
-jwaller built 700r4 with all the goodies
-86-89 corvette radiator
-volvo recall electric fan (ebay) wired with twin bosch relay...ecm controlled
-custom 5 gauge pod (homemade. located where stereo used to be) houses tranny temp, electronic fuel pressure, boost and egt and wideband gauges
-stereo relocated inside center console with infrared repeater for the remote
-XM satellite radio
-Corvette ZR1 replica wheels with the grand sport offset...315/35zr17 rear tires and 275/40zr17 fronts
-custom power inverter w/ 2 110v outlets

man....that's all I can think of right now...I know it's alot more unmentioned stuff, but you get the idea.....here's a link to the gallery where I saved most of the pics of my mods...be sure you click that link when you have around 2 hours to blow and a six pack of your favorite beer to drink....there's alot of pics there....all the work was done by me and anyone else that was crazy enough to help me at the time....I also have a stockish syclone that I just bought for pretty cheap, a typhoon and a 1987 buick turbo T (grand national)....

BTW, I still want to turbo my sierra....that would be cool as hell imo....I think I'm getting a little burnt out on the six bangers lately....I've been checking out a few setups on here that look very appealing....my 5.3 sierra hauls *** as it is, but I want a little more....I have alot of reading to do as I know nothing about these fullsized trucks.....

Man what a project!!! I can really appreciate that!! You werent kiddin' about those pics, there were tons. I bet It took alot a time and patience to rebuild that one of a kind Syclone. I belive the all stock Syclone's were pushing around 280Hp from the factory but I heard that was completely over rated and was actually pushing a little more.I think stock 1/4 mile times were around high 13's or so. What kinda of numbers are you pushing on that newly fresh motor? Man the Typhoons and syclone's are some rare vehicles and you have quite a collection of cars there.

A friend of mine has bone stock T-type and I think his is an 86 not for sure tough. He's a member here ,but hardly ever posts! Any plans for that one? Those cars are also pretty unique and pretty badass!!

You can't go wrong with a Turbo in your 5.3L. The 5.3's have alot of potential and with the correct setups' and any Forced induction you'll have a pretty fast truck. There's members that are runin' the Radix supercharger and also the STS turbo kit. Hope you can keep us posted on your plans for you 5.3 and this is the right site to find any info that you may need. Oh yeah, what are the mods on your sierra, if you dont mind me asking?

I don't know exactly what the sy runs....I've only messed around with it on the street so far on relatively low (10-12psi) boost....it's extremely quick even at that....I'm afraid to break the damn thing to tell you the truth....I'll be running it at a track on Oct 22 if all goes well...the buick is bone stock....probably better off staying as close to stock as possible....my only plans for that one and my modded sy is a alkycontrol methanol injection kit for each from Julio in Florida....that alky is neat stuff, you know?

As for the sierra, I read about the Radix and also the Livernois kits....both seem to be around the same money.....can't imagine how my sierra would respond to either of those two kits....I have a few projects to complete before $diving$ into the sierra if you know what I mean....but now is the time to gain knowledge....as far as mods on the sierra, below is what the former owner had in his sig....It's a great running truck....looks great too for a truck that's over 5 years old....Also has a programmer.....think it's a hypertech......

2k GMC ECSB 5.3,3.73,2WD
HPP3,K&N OEM Cut open air box
Airaid TB Spacer, TB Bypass,
MAS Descreen, EGR Mod & Plate,
Flowmaster,160 Thermo,JBL 8.5mm,
Eaton Posi Unit
Dyno:249 HP
14.9@91MPH
TOP SPEED 134mph.
4860Lbs. PIG

thanks again.....see ya

I would go with the livernois, they're an awesome looking setup and i don't think that many ppl are actually going with them. That's probably the kit i'll go with in the future.
