Power is power, and being in the power band is where the key is to choosing a cam. A motor that produces 350HP @ 6200 RPM in first, is going to produce 350HP @ 6200 in Fifth as well. What you'll need to decide (Especially for a DD) is where in the RPM range you're going to be doing most of your driving. If you throw too big of a cam in, and then a 6 speed, it's going to be a dog in those higher gears as the RPMs drop, which is why throwing a set of 4.10's or 4.56's will help you there.

As far as the heads, I'd spend the money on the 243's. The extra flow will help feed those extra cubes.
