BBP (Black Bear Performance) TUNE...

WAAAA-HOOOOOO!!!:nunchuk1:

KICKS ***! Just installed last night. Install and relearn were a snap per Justin's instructions. Truck flat out HAULS and the awful Flowmaster DRONING is DRAMATICALLY REDUCED! Motor is MUCH smoother and WAAAAY more powerful everywhere... with dramatically improved shifts and response! WOOT!

Gotta head to Canada for a long drive next couple days... really looking forward to driving the truck!

BIG PROBLEM!!!

Brakes and suspension are now WOEFULLY INADEQUATE! DOH!

More later... gotta hit the road in my new... HOT ROD... er... TRUCK-ROD!

(I know... don't POP the tranny!)

BTW, ran to local shop first thing this a.m. and had serpentine belt, pulley, and accessory belt swapped for good measure!

AWAY I GO!

i sure hope they didnt charge you for an accessory belt and serp belt...everything runs off the serp belt except the ac compressor

hydroboost is a good swap for the brakes. i made a big writeup about it last year.

You are correct! Serp and AC belt.

Both were pretty bad... and the job WITH one of the pulleys (plastic small one) was done spur of the moment by my local guys for right at $100. I think that was pretty fair.

Made it to Toronto Canada and back (around 1000 miles) and did a mileage check WITH the new mods: K&N Charger intake, Single/Dual Flowmaster and PCM by BBP. I did right AT 18mpg running like a mad-man... did a good 75~80mph average, and "played" in traffic on the way... trip home was a delicate 75~80 cruising with a "gentle foot". All things tolled... 18mpg for how I "stomped" on it ONE way... and "eased it" on the return... I think that's a decent number for this motor and truck at 90k miles age.

LOVING the BBP performance bump, but worried I might "kill" the tranny now. DOH!

PS: Picked up a head unit and dragged some 6.5" DynAudio component speakers and x-over set out of my "stash" of stuff... more to come on my stereo exploits!

Yeah... I was pretty happy with 18 for the run. I believe it was 458.6 miles from 25.5 gallons when I topped off. Managed to cross at Detroit/Windsor, drive to Toronto and back, and make it JUST back over the border on one tank. Still had some fuel to spare.

17.98431372549019607843137254902 miles to gallon by the numbers.
