engine dies
I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup with a Next generation 4.7L magnum v8
When I let up on the accelerator it dies. If I let up really slow it WILL idle.
Speed it up, let up and it dies. Sometimes dies at stop signs. Vehicle has about 29,000 miles. A mechanic sprayed some cleaner in the "throttle body" and cleaned it up. It helped but didn't cure. If you come up to stop sign slow it won't die every time.
Idle speed is about 600rpm. Thanks
I am not a mechanic but can do simple repairs.

RE engine dies
I know this sounds wierd, have you checked the charging system? Mopars are VERY sensitive to battery voltage, and the first sign is generally they won't idle. I have worked as a professional mechanic for over 3 decades, and have seen this lots of times.
make sure your battery voltage at idle is at least 13.8 volts.

Not much luck up above so will ask this:
Is there some kind of sensor for acceleration, carbueration, or whatever that could be the cause of this?
Remember, vehicle has only 29,000 miles but much of it is very short trips. I do take it out on Highway at least once a month.
