Default Mini tubbed gmc or full tub

Hey guys I’m new to this sight, I have some questions and need help, I have a 2006 gmc Sierra and I’m building into a street truck and i wanna mini tub the rear but can’t afford a 4 link, I know if I invert the leaf springs inside the frame rails and shorten the rear end I can fit a 17 wide slick under the truck, with wheel tubs, has anyone done this bc I can’t find anyone who has everyone does 4 link to do this I just can’t afford a 4 link so imm stick with leaf springs

What is your budget?

How much power are you putting down?

You say street truck, as in you will race on an unprepped street?

I mean I guess. I wouldn't want to cruise the streets with a 17" wide slick lmao

what I mean by street truck is drag truck but not full blown were it’s not street able, I love the old school pro street look with meats in the back, the power I’m putting down is around 500-600 to the wheel I race it and cruse it

He's got a great build- https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...thread-527449/

IIRC he only has a notched frame and did a mini tub to get those on.

JJ is my Christian Brother and Tuner. Love his truck. I wanted some kinda Pro Street Look but on some kinda budget. You can narrow stock 8.6 disc brake differential 2.75 on each side, run 15x10s with 4.5 backspace and M/T 295 55 15s with perfect spacing to leaf springs in stock location and tuck nicely.
