I'd service the diff. right away, just run a fully synthetic 75/90w gear oil, no limited slip additive needed. You aren't due for any major maint. really until 100K. If it was used for towing than do your major services now. GM's rec'd service intervals for trans, coolant, plugs, wires etc, is 100K. Check the brakes too, I'm sure they are the OG pads and tend to need replacing around 70-75K.

Cool, so far the other dealrership was unable to dealer trade for it, apparenty they dont like helping each other. Had my used car manager call them and see if we can work a deal to get them to trade for it where I work, if that dont work looks like i'm driving to Il this weekend.

Personally I run AC Delco brake pads, they don't dust that much. Many run EBC, Hawk etc. Stay away from Auto Zone pads.

Thanks for the info. Had no luck on the dealer trade so I called and set up an apt to go look it tomorrow morning. Do these have dual exhuast all the way back like the 2500's do?

That's a damn nice looking truck! As others said, the 6.0 was an option that year.

Welcome to the forum!

The stock exhaust setup on a VHO is a true dual into a single muffler with a true dual exit into a Y into a single exit pipe.

Thanks for the info again, last question before I go look at it. Is the price decent for 63000 miles. Seems like 13.5 is low since they are damn near a SS which go for 20000 in my area. Guess there just isn't a demand for them which kills the price?

Go to NADA.com, enter your Zip code, and look it up. NADA is pretty darn accurate most of the time.

Just cant find the 6.0 option in a half ton on there. It was enough of an option for them to put it on their site I guess. Doesn't matter anyways the dealership sold it out from under me. Was on my way to the apt to check it out and they called me to tell me it was gone. Guess i'll keep looking
