new guy from WI, with a slow sierra
hey guys new to ls1tech will be buying a 6.0l shortblock within the next few months give or take a few depending on how soon i can pay everything off this seems to be the story of my life lol as of right now my DD is an 01 sierra ecsb w an hp tune nothing special just a tune for premium gas, and tuned the line pressure for the tranny, also for when it shifts and top speed, a generic CAI, and tru trac 3.73 gears pretty stock if you ask me but like i said before i plan on buying a 6.0l shortblock and building already know what type a cam i want just need suggestions on what else i should do i would like to make near 400HP and i do plan on keeping my DD but i do plan on buying a rcsb to put the 6.0l in any suggestions will be much appreciated thanks

once u get your 6.0L get you some shorty headers, dual exhaust with cross pipe, and a procharger if you dare. that should give you around 450hp. You will not be dissapointed with just that. then later on down the road get a built 4L65E and that will unleash your potential.
Thats the route i took as you can see,and i could not be any happier. and b4 i got the built tranny i was getting around 11 - 14 intown mpg and 20 - 30 mpg hiway while running premium. Now its like 11 intown 16 hiway

its Slow sieera spelled sierra wrong when i made the nickname but i wil definately not get shortys sorry but i dont want to have to put a s/c on it neither all motor no s/c or turbo goin under this hood maybe a little spray later down the road but thanks for the ideas bout everything else from the post before last

i blew up my stock 4l60e with a shift kit and servo in about 2k miles..now have a built 4l65e with 3k stall..
like said..6.0, decent cam (tr220,224,228) seem to be decent in a 6.0, springs, head work, long tubes, full exhaust, cai, etc and you should be good to go..
