I joined a while back when I had a Lightning but always saw this site as more GM based. I've had my share of stock and built Lightnings and fast cars. Most recently a CTS V coupe that has ran mid to high 10s on boost only, that is for sale BTW . I've learned that my true passion remains in fast trucks though. During these past few weeks I've read most of stock48 and foose's threads. I had no idea these trucks can be that fast for so little. So I started searching for a truck and found a great deal on a 99 Sierra RC Z71 here in town just a few days later. Only thing wrong with it are the door hinges, it creaks pretty bad when I open and close the doors. Silicone oil nor grease fixed it. What's next???

And last, here are a few picks..

I know, a drop is in order! I am removing the rear blocks and getting shackles. Also, I've read mixed opinion on lowering the front, should I buy new torsion bars or just lower the stocks ones a bit??

Thanks for the warm welcome. The Vette, Lightning and Cobra are previous rides.

I am in Dallas, TX.

Anyone have any ideas on what parts I need to replace on my door hinges to keep them from creaking every time I open/close the door?
