New performance truck owner
Saying hi to all. New owner of a performance truck, I am also a LS1tech regular. Located in Hampton, VA.
About me:
I am a 35 yo gear head that is married with 2 girls. I am a 15+ years US Army active duty Soldier, Paralegal by MOS. I like American muscle cars and trucks, but am a Camaro fan at heart. I have a few guys in a local club that are also Camaro fans, but also own a Lightning, so I have followed their trend and found a nice Lightning to drive so I can work on my Camaro.
The truck:
2001 Red Lightning 80K on the clock
Performance cam (unk name and specs)
Stage 2 heads
Dynotech LTs
Bussani X-pipe cat back
C & L elbow w/ K&N cai
20" rims, powder coated black
From the paperwork I have with the truck, it was tuned with the heads and cam to 431 hp, but when I bought it, someone before me put a diablow tune in it and it doesn't feel right. So the next step is to get it dyno tuned again. When I bought it, it had a Cobra style cowl hood on it, but the owner still had the stock hood, so I took the Cobra off and put the oem back on. Only pics I have for now is ones with the Cobra hood on. I will get new ones soon with the oem back on when the weather is better.
These pics are of the other car I own that the Lightning will one day be towing to the race track once I get it fully built.
