Hi guys. New to the site and computer tuning (8 mths). Been reading the forums for the last 2 days (eyes sore, head hurts etc.)
My truck is a 07 nbs Silverado LT, 4.8. auto, reg. cab, long box. The truck runs ok above 4000rpm but it is dog below that. I've used HPTuners to increase line pressures and removed 80% of the trans. TM but i have left the eng. TM stock. TCC is set to 90/100. The tranny works great.
AC torque reduction has been removed. IAT timing has been bumped up. Neg. timing has been 0. COT has been disabled. Knock retard, Burst knock and Knock sensitivity has been changed. PE has been played with. The truck is starting to wake up but at this rate it will take awhile. Have LM1 wb but I'm waiting on the Guru's on the HPTuners forum to figure out a "VE table".
Most of my driving is from 1200rpm to 1900rpm (23mpg @ 75mpg) with a few wot passes. 28000km since Apr. and not a problem.
Questions: Does anyone have any experience with the Gen4 4.8 or can point me in the right direction? Need better low end response. ( LS7/ blower )
Is there any way to remove Tire Pressure Monitor? (Dealer says NO!!!!!)
Can 16" rims be used for snow tires (much cheaper)

Nice to be here and thanks for your time. Need a beer! ( Not impressed with GM's warranty tuning ) Will do more reading.

Dan
