Slow import from Shreveport Louisiana
What's going on? I have lurked these forums for a while and decided to sign up. I know there are a lot of LSX guys on here, but there seems to be some good overall information.
I have a 2008 RCSB 5.7 Tundra. It's slow compared to all the modified and boosted domestics, but I like it. Downside is no real aftermarket support with the TRD supercharger being the only real performance solution. All that power with a 100k warranty is nice, but nothing compared to a turbo LSX.
My truck just ran a 13.748@100.50 with a 2.11 60ft last Sunday, and as far as I know is the fastest non forced induction Tundra. It's pretty much a stock truck with a muffler, filter and some tires. I think I could pull a 13.4-13.5 with a better 60ft, but it will probably take some caltracs to subdue the wheel hop.
A tune would really help as well since the tranny was not liking the shorter tires, hitting the limiter in every gear. If someone doesn't come out with something in the next two years I will probably trade for a Ram Express or find a nice LSX truck.
Still put it to work once in a while.

Thanks!
Yeah just a filter, muffler and some $50 traction bars. Ran a 13.8@100.70 on the 22's in 1500 DA also. Like I said the tranny did not like the shorter 17's, so they didn't help much if any, DA was 300 that day. As far as I know, no one else has run better without forced induction. I am going to try and drop a little weight and get some sticky tires to see if I can get a some more out of it. I could not go WOT off the line without blowing the tires off. 2.1-2.2 60ft rolling into it.
With a ECU/transmission tune it would really pick up, but it's been almost 6 years and still nothing. I want to get a little more out of it NA then pick up the TRD supercharger so I can make 500hp and keep my 100k bumper to bumper warranty. The aftermarket just isn't there like the LSX platform.
