Soon to be truck owner from Dallas, TX w/ some questions.
Im from Dallas, TX. Going to be purchasing a Silverado very shortly. I have a few questions regarding a certain truck that i am looking at.
Truck in question is a 2001 ex-cab 2wd LS w/ the 5.3 It has 52k miles on it (bone stock except for some aftermarket muffler). I have seen it in person and it is damn near the cleanest truck i have laid eyes on. The guy is asking 11,500 for it.
Does this seem like a reasonable price? Its been on the market for a few weeks and has not sold. It is showroom worthy. I know its an old truck but for the condition its in and the mileage it has, my mind is telling me to get it.
I am getting out of the Euro tuner scene and have some small plans in mind for the truck.
Thanks.

I appreciate the honesty. I have been looking for a few weeks now. My price range is 11-12k. Most of the trucks in this range have 100k miles. The newer trucks in this range vary from V6's to the 4.8. Truck must have the 5.3, ex-cab or crew.

The price on the truck does seem a bit high. Realistically, normal price on that should be $5-6K, with that low mileage and that clean bring it up to maybe $8500 tops. Ultimately, you will have to decide if it is worth the premium to you. Go wave $9K under his nose and see if he bites.
