Default V6 to v8 swap

Hello, I’m new to this forum and looking for some help!

I’m sure there’s been many threads on this subject. But I’m stuck on my swap…I have a 2007 classic that was a v6. Swapped over to an 6.0, first using an 99-02 harness. Found out that does NOT work. Was able to find an 2004 DBW harness with ecm. I wanted to keep it DBC (just because it was already) I went into Lt1 website and found how to re pin harness for tps and iac. I literally grabbed v6 harness, slices loom open and removed connectors for iac and tps, all wires to ecm with pins. Added pins to correct positions into 2004 harness, didnt not removed any wires or pin from 2004 harness. I thought I could use my 2007 ecm, but it did not support DBC. I was able to find an exact match to LT1 website suggestion for ecm off an express van, but when taking it to the tuner, even though LT1 said that specific ecm is for an express van, it was actually programmed for an 2006 Silverado. Tuner was able to “segment swap” v6 to v8 from an express van DBW but, when cranking, the computer crank signal speed goes automatically to 800 rpm and cuts off cranking. Am I doing something wrong? Is my tuner using wrong files, im literally stuck…

too summarize, I have 2007 classic that was V6 DBC
swapped 6.0 with 2004 harness
using “2007 express van ecm” according to ecm part number and LT1 Swap

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hello,

Hopefully, your PCM is a blue-green connector P59 device. They made P59's with the IAC hardware (drive by cable) up to 2007. Hardware (not service) numbers: 12575502, 12570558, 12583659, and 12589161.

Your hardware number DOES HAVE the IAC chipset. See my list above, last hardware number listed.
