Default 125hp nx shot ok for 4.8?

ok i did a n20 calc and it stated that a 57/31 rates a n20 kit in a lsx vehicle for 135 hp at the crank, well nx states the same jets for a 125 shot. am i safe to spray a 125 nx /135 nos shot on a stock 4.8 with tr6's and a cutout only? no tune or anything on stock injectors? im farely knowledgeable with nitrous but not too much on knowing how much the 4.8 can hold. thanks.

i sprayed a 100shot many times right off the line(like 2000rpm). i wouldn't sugest spraying that low.

the motor will take it just fine. just use the proper safety stuff like a 3000-6000rpm window switch. if your tranny is stock it wont be happy. i was able to make mine slip with just the 100shot and a 4.8.

i took mine up there and told me it would be best to take it off incase the warranty company send a represenative out to look at the truck..so i took the nitrous kit off at the dealer ship and swapped out my 20s for some stock 17's off a new truck, and put my stock airbox on

My dealership called a muffler, intake, and a 3/4 drop (this is a direct quote from the service slip) "VEH HEAVILY MODIFIED W/ MANY A/M PARTS" Total BS at that point. So goes to show, it will depend on the dealership and service team, but best to have that nitrous gone if you have a problem w/ the truck after using it!

ok well i put the 57/31 pills in the truck yesturday and went out and played, found a couple of suckers to run and they was astonished on how fast a 4.8 with only a cutout was.

funny thing is is that i didnt tell anyone that i had it on there. ooh just to show you how many people has nitrous now and days. we had 6-7 cars out last night at out local sonic and 4 of them had the gas on them, 3 trucks and 1 direct ported 4.6 mustang.

anyways the 57/31 pills on a n20 calculator comes to about 135 hp shot, but for nx, as they rate theirs at the wheels its something like a 125 shot. needless to say, its fun and the truck responds great to the new liquid cubic inches.
