i agree with the above poster, the proton kit looks bad ***, if i was going to do nitrous on my current truck that is how i would go. i've been having to fight the urge for a few weeks now.

Just make sure your fuel supply to the kit is good and reliable (read: no dry kits)

yeah x3 the new proton kit would prob be the best bet for you since your prob new to it. Throw in some colder plugs, get a tune bolt up/wire the kit get a tune and have fun. These motors love nitrous! I would start off with the 100 shot. Plan on building that trans here soon too if its stock.

A wet shot for sure and if it's not tuned for nitrous a 75 shoot I am running a 175 shoot on a stock bottom end with a 93 octane tune and it's held up good

Those engines are tough, like everyone said you are just teasing it with a 50 shot. If i were you I would start at a 50 shot just to make sure everything is working properly but i bet you wont hardly be able to feel it. Then go up from there but i bet you find yourself happiest with the 150Hp setting mainly because you can defiantly FEEL the extra power at that level.

I have seen several people run up to 200 hp on the aluminum block 5.3. I personally spray 250hp on my iron 5.3

BTW let me know when your ready to pick up a system and i will work with you to find you the perfect system for what you decide to do.
