You can still tow with a stall converter if you get the right one. Get a Yank TT3000 and you'll be good to go; its an awesome converter. I considered a Vinci 216/224 .551 cam when I had my Yank and then throwing on a 150 wet shot but sold the converter. That setup should make for an awesome combo on a 4.8 and you'd still be able to tow.

The Yank TT3000 does fine with towing.. Just need a big Trans cooler.. I had a TT3000 and i loved it. pretty tight, but when boost hit, it would flash to 4200ish..

Will that yank converter flash when I hit the nitrous, lets say at 3000rpm?

 

With a 4.8 and nitrous I'd say probably 3000 give or take. I've heard that they base their stalls on 6.0's but IDK for sure.
