Fuel Pressure Safety Switch

Fuel Pressure Safety Switch
I was reading on LS1Tech and came acrossan article on adjusting a FPSS and most of the replies said that running a FPSS is a waste. I don't know why it would be. Does anyone else on here feel the same way? and is there a way to properly adjust them?

I just run a fuel pressure gauge and keep an eye on it. I had one on my old setup, but guessed at the adjustment. I am sure daves can adjust one for you if you buy one from them. my fpss is still in my tool box, i would run it, but I dont have the room with the new stuff.

Throw it in the garbage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it is the thread I posted in follow my advice to a T.
Remove it,aim and kick it at your most hated neighbor's house. Be happy anything short of that is a complete and total waist of time.

The cause nothing but problems. Such as the OP is looking to adjust it. Apparently it isn't set right or some issue is becoming of it.
They don't read right half the time and cut your nitrous out wile you have perfectly good fuel pressure. It is another set of connections to worry about and potentially a good length of tire you need to add(6-30"). Virtually no one runs them and the only people who will tell you to run them is the manufacture just to cover there butt. Long before I learned on forums that they are worthless I removed the one on my probe(10 years ago) because of issues. I never installed one on my truck for two reasons, the used kit I bought didn't have it(previous owner threw it away) and secondly I am not telling other to not use one wile I have the piece of **** on my own truck.
If you want a reliable and usefully tool to verify you aren't going lean a Wide band gage and shut down switch is what you want and need. It helps you dial in your A/F ratio and will shut the nitrous down if anything gets too far out of wack. They are $200ish new and up. Not really needed but a nice addition to have. I don't have one and have no intentions of buying one any time soon.

well.....it does, and will work if you set it right and it could save your motor if your pump fails. all you gotta do is rig up a $50 adjustable air pressure apparatus and set it to 50 psi...lol. I am not "as" against them as custom2500 is, but .....to each his own.
