I Did It With A Shark Nozzle.... It Was A Bitch... Then Again... I Lined It Up On The Drill Press Like 100 Times To Make Sure It Was Straight....

It Worked Really Well...

Then I Blew The Motor....

But That Was My Fault....

Well check this out guys, i found this at an exhaust shop a year ago or so. I think its made by poweraid:

Its a spacer that comes with nitrous fittings. I've been meaning to email them to see if they offer one for my truck.

It would be pretty cool but you're not going to get an equal distribution of nitrous/fuel flow across the entrance of the intake like a plate. And like mentioned, you need it spraying at the bottom of the butterfly of the TB or you may miss the first couple of intake ports which wouldn't be good for the longevity of your motor.

The idea has crossed my mine as well before I got my plate, but I didn't think it was worth it since you'd be using a nozzle which is recommended being placed several inches in front of the TB which is needed for optimal nitrous/fuel distribution before it enters the intake.

That's just my reasoning, but there's only one way to find out for sure.

Let us know how it turns out if you go for it.

Sorry guys, I've been out of the country for 8 days. I haven't read into this much more since I've posted(haven't had internet access). I think the biggest issue would be that the plate kits offer a distributed spray that a tb spacer couldn't offer without some SERIOUS modification.

I'm tempted to just buy the plate kit, but I can't justify the costs for what I'm getting. I may just spray through my shark nozzle into my K&N tube.

I tapped my spacer and installed a barry grant power wing, and had no problems with it. It does hit pretty good though.

The truck intakes aren't like the car intakes the opening of the throttlebody goes into a open chamber with runners below there would be no problem with spraying after the throttlebody. And what was all that lurk stuff about?

thats why you use a jam nut on the nozzle to index it into the right position to get the optimum spray.

I was unclear on that the nozzle might not extend into the spacer enough and be shrouded by the plate. I recall my old NOS nozzle being a little short, but, maybe the Shark nozzle is long enough. Youre right about indexing the nozzle so its the right direction.
