if the heater is touching your carpet it will melt it and smell like burning plastic

Thats what I was thinking but how do I raise it off the ground? Its not touching the rear of the cab but it is touching the floor carpet. Have you made spacers for yours?

See I always check it when its on but the carpet only gets slightly warm, not melt status hot.

yeah i went to the hardware store and bout some 1" length pvc plumbing couplers. painted them black and worked just perfect.
